As the name suggests, the single-side cantilever rack comes with steel, load-bearing arms on one side. Each arm can support up to 220kg, and the whole rack is capable of storing loads of up to 1750kg. It’s made from steel and stands out on account of its build quality and distinctive colour combination: galvanised steel and a durable blue epoxy finish.
This heavy-duty rack features uprights with slots on both sides, so that it can be converted into a double-sided cantilever rack (by simply switching out the base). These racks are designed for manual material loading and can be easily assembled by following the instructions provided.
The single-sided cantilever rack is a simple and durable storage solution for storing extremely long materials, such as pipes, timber and metal bars. You can customise your rack to meet your needs by choosing from the different widths, heights and depths on offer.
As this rack features arms that can be adjusted in 100mm increments, it can be easily adapted to fit whatever goods you’re looking to store. It can be set up with anywhere from 3 to 6 levels, and it’s also worth noting that the base can hold even more weight than the arms, as it has a maximum load of 5 times more than each arm.
For improved stability, you can anchor the rack to the floor using a floor anchoring and levelling kit, which is included with all sizes that require one. You can also purchase a kit separately for those models that don’t come with one. Each kit consists of an anchor plate, a levelling plate and a floor anchor bolt to anchor the rack to the floor. A kit is included with racks of the following sizes:
- Racks with arms that are 400mm long, regardless of the rack height.
- Racks that are 2500mm or 3000mm high with arms that are 500mm long.
- Racks that are 3000mm high with arms that are 600mm long.
Each rack also includes a bracing frame (composed of 4 diagonal struts and 2 cross struts) for increased stability.
The arms come with a safety block to stop them detaching.
No roll-off guards are included, but you can purchase separator guards for cantilever arms separately. They are made from galvanised steel, can be adjusted in 100mm increments and stop stored materials falling off the arms. You can also find separator guards for the base, which will stop materials from falling off the base of the cantilever rack.
You can connect as many extension bays as you need to your cantilever rack.
However, you should bear the following in mind:
- The bays must have the same height and depth.
- To calculate the total length of the row, you should add 64mm to the width (32mm each side).
- For a single starter bay (without extension bays) you should add 64mm to the width.
- To calculate the total depth, add 210mm to the depth you choose.
